New series editor for Geographies of Justice and Social Transformation

The University of Georgia Press is pleased to announce that Deborah Cowen has joined Nik Heynen and Melissa W. Wright as coeditor of the Geographies of Justice and Social Transformation series.

Cowen is assistant professor of geography at the University of Toronto, coeditor of the journal Environment and Planning D: Society and Space, author of Military Workfare: The Soldier and Social Citizenship in Canada, and coeditor of the volume War, Citizenship, Territory. She joins a series that has published nine books over the past four years, with two more forthcoming this spring—Don Mitchell’s They Saved the Crops: Labor,Landscape, and the Struggle over Industrial Farming in Bracero-Era California and Jason Hackworth’s Faith Based:Religious Neoliberalism and the Politics of Welfare in the United States.
